New trees for Monument Meadow

We have been planting new trees at Monument Meadow.

« Back to news

Our landscaping team have been busy this week planting a variety of new trees and hedges at Monument Meadow.

We have planted evergreen yew hedges, Mountain Ash and mixed Maple tree varieties. Hawthorn and oak trees have been added to the meadow too.

There are also Bird Cherry trees, which will look beautiful in the late spring when they are full of white almond scented blossom.

These are in addition to the abundance of local species of bulbs and wildflowers already in the meadow.

Creating a tranquil area and a living memorial landscape that is ecologically rich is important to us.

People tell us that they love the peace and calmness they feel when they visit us. They take comfort from the surrounding landscape, the gentle views across to the Clwydian Range and the four sleeping stone lion statues who protect the site.

It is all what makes it such a beautiful place to be laid to rest.
