Monument Meadow offers a variety of funeral options, as set out in the table below.
Burial plots and the right to scatter ashes may be purchased in advance by those wishing to put their affairs in order ahead of time, or they may be purchased at the time of need.
Family members may pre-purchase adjacent burial plots to ensure that they are buried together when the time comes.

Cost of a child funeral: The cost of the plot and grave digging are covered by the Children's Funeral Fund for England. We can claim this back on your behalf. Only administrative costs and optional services are payable. | |
Option A: Pre-Purchasing a Plot
There are many benefits to pre-purchasing a burial plot:
- it secures the plot price listed at the time of purchase, and alleviates the future financial burden on one's family;
- many people find it comforting to put their affairs in order ahead of time, and to know how and where they will be laid to rest;
- knowing that they will form part of a protected nature reserve can also reassure those who wish to make a final positive contribution that is sensitive towards the environment.
To pre-purchase a grave(s), or a plot for burying ashes, or the right to scatter ashes on the site, please download and fill in our Pre-Purchase Application Form and submit it online to our Site Manager Carole Tomlinson at: carole@monumentmeadow.co.uk or call her on 07725 073596 to have a form sent to you by post.
You are purchasing a ‘Right of Burial’ at Monument Meadow. Should your plot remain unoccupied for 10 years from the date of purchase, we require that you contact us and re-sign – at no extra cost - to confirm that you still wish to reserve a burial plot at Monument Meadow.
We offer a 28-day ‘cooling off’ period from the pre-payment date, during which time you may cancel your order for a refund.
If you move far away from Farndon or emigrate, and therefore no longer wish to be buried with us, you may apply to have the original pre-purchase price refunded (minus an administration charge of £100).
* Please note: The grave preparation and administration fees are both linked to inflation and paid at the time of the funeral (not in advance).
Option B - Notice of Interment at Monument Meadow
To
purchase a burial plot or to arrange the
scattering of ashes at Monument Meadow Burial Ground at the time of a person's death, please download and

a form sent to you by post.
