Last week saw the opening of Monument Meadow Natural Burial Ground in Farndon and our first funeral.
Monument Meadow is available for residents of surrounding villages and beyond and welcomes people of all faiths. We have even had enquiries from people who grew up in the area, moved away, and wish to be buried here one day.
As a member of the Association of Natural Burial Grounds, we offer a variety of sustainable funeral options, including natural burial and scattering of ashes and both religious and secular ceremonies can be catered for.
Our civil celebrant liaises with each family and helps them to shape a funeral unique to the deceased.
Instead of using gravestones, we have planted an abundance of local species of trees, bulbs and wildflowers to create a tranquil area and a living memorial landscape, making it an attractive place for visitors to pay their respects.
