The meadow flowers at the natural burial ground at Monument Meadow looked beautiful in today's Spring sunshine
Delicate blue forget-me-knot flowers and vibrant marigolds nestle among the sweet scented meadow grass. Poppies, cornflowers and chamomile, amongst others, will soon follow.
The birds are singing, insects are buzzing and a pair of pheasants have been spotted strolling through the tall grass.
We have mown three gently meandering circular paths through the meadow.
And over the last few weeks, we have planted small groupings of trees including Cherry, Sycamore, Beech, Red Oak, Hawthorn and Acer trees. Wooden benches will be installed in the next few days.
It is a peaceful place to stop and to remember a loved one.
